Transfers from and to Berlin

OverviewProcessCostsFAQContact

Within Berlin, throughout Germany and internationally, with a dedicated contact person.

A transfer is always necessary when the place of death and the place of burial are in different locations. We organise transfers within Berlin (e.g. from the hospital to a funeral hall), throughout Germany and internationally. We speak Russian, English and Italian, which greatly simplifies international communication.

What is included

  • Collection at the place of death, 24 hours a day
  • Hygienic care and placement in the coffin
  • Zinc-lined coffin for international flights (in accordance with IATA regulations)
  • Consular clearances and translations
  • Air or road transport, depending on the distance
  • Reception at the destination by a local partner funeral director

A note on prices: Our gross flat-rate prices include all the funeral services listed here as well as all third-party costs incurred through our engagement (e.g. crematorium, shipping company, clergy, death certificates, floristry). Only the cemetery fees are shown separately. We record the binding final price in writing in your personal cost estimate.

Your transfer in 5 steps

Even complex international transfers follow a clear process with us: 1. Call: You can reach us around the clock, including weekends and public holidays. 2. Collection: We collect the deceased at the place of death (hospital, care home, home). 3. Care and placement: hygienic care and a suitable coffin, including a zinc-lined coffin for international flights depending on the distance. 4. Formalities: death certificate, apostille, consular clearances and translations into the respective national language. 5. Transport and handover: air freight or hearse, handover at the destination to you or the local partner funeral director.

Your transfer within Berlin and Brandenburg

Within the region we collect the deceased directly at the place of death, from the hospital, care home, hospice or from home, and bring them to our funeral hall or directly to the crematorium. We are available for this 24 hours a day. Within the region a transfer is usually possible on the same day.

International transfers

For transfers abroad we coordinate consular clearances, death certificates with apostille, translated documents and the actual transport. A zinc-lined coffin is often used because it is mandatory on international flights. We work with reliable partner funeral directors in the destination country, so that the family has a contact person on site. Frequently requested destinations are Russia, Italy, Poland and Ukraine.

From every Berlin district, worldwide

We are on site 24 hours a day in all Berlin districts and collect the deceased, whether in Spandau, Mitte or Köpenick. A transfer is often combined with a burial in Berlin, and we coordinate the entire process from a single source.

How long does a transfer abroad take?

Usually between four and fourteen days, depending on the destination country, the consular situation and the availability of flights. Once we have recorded all the details we give you a realistic timeframe.
